Focusing on petty things

I am so sorry Mr. Cruse is offended by the term Indian or the use of it as a school mascot. I'm just wondering why during this day and time, with the economy in shambles, people losing jobs, homes and families left and right that there are some who still pick and choose petty things to focus on. I mean no disrespect to any minority by using a general term like Indian instead of calling their particular name. Unless one does a deep genealogy search to see the type, some only know that they have the "red man's" blood flowing in their veins.

America has been a melting pot. Although my heritage is mixed, I do not claim to be a ‘_ American'. I am an American.

On 9/11 we watched innocent people die and we pulled together. Now we are at odds with each other. Some are intent on destroying this country. Some are more concerned with a political party. Some are more concerned in taking God out. Where is the concern for your neighbor? The concern for those losing their jobs? The desire to reach out and help others?

Many are obsessing over things that won't matter tomorrow if your home is destroyed by flood or storm. Have your hearts become so hard that you no longer see a need farther than the nose on your face? Is just "us four no more" your attitude?

Think about it. Is what offends you really worth another moment of your life?
