The Heartland Idol Karaoke contest has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, according to fair organizers. The singing competition was canceled Wednesday night as rain pelted the fairgrounds, shutting down the midway and rides by 4 p.m. Admission for the Bootheel Harley Davidson's Heartland Idol is free. The last round of the contest, which auditions singers in Southeast Missouri during the months leading up to the fair, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Fair workers and volunteers will allow the stands to clear, and gates will open for David Nail ticketholders at 7 p.m. Nail starts at 8 p.m. Saturday. Country radio station K103 announced Thursday that Tessa McNally won the wild card slot to compete.
