Junior High School Cheerleaders win Top Team

Cape Central Junior High School cheerleaders left the National Cheerleaders Association camp at SE Missouri State University with the Top Team award for their division, along with two All-American wins and numerous other awards. Twenty cheerleaders and the school's Tiger mascot competed and earned three Superior ribbons for cheers and chants; Excellent ribbon for a cheer; Herkie Team award; Spirit Stick; Spot Safety award and a bid to NCA National Competition in February. In addition, Coaches Laura Gunn and Jessica Grandcolas were awarded NCA Coach Credentials.

Nine students were nominated for All-American award: Anna Margetta, Hanna Borders, Madilyn Dunn, Madison Dush, Taylor Clifton, Riley Knight, Bella Sander, KeiAirian Umfleet, Caroline Rollins and Cheerleading Mascot Brynna Bockhorst. Bella Sander was selected All-American Cheerleader and Brynna Bockhorst was chosen All-American Cheerleading Mascot.
