Overusing the race card

A thread in the Speak Out forum was set up to, yet again, pin the blame for Sept. 11 on former president George W. Bush.

Just like the race card that is so easily and frequently played ad nauseam, the left loves to play the "Bush screwed America" card. Even President Obama loves to play that card every chance he gets, blaming the economic troubles on his predecessor as often as the opportunity affords him. He even called Mr. Bush "unpatriotic" for the economic troubles the nation is facing. Yes, Mr. Bush made mistakes, but to put this solely on his shoulders is entirely unfair, totally disingenuous, and seriously wanting. It also exposes Mr. Obama as a malicious partisan, willing to slander Mr. Bush, grossly impugning his integrity and patriotism.

I have to ask: Don't they have anything better to do than play cards that are so obviously worn out from overuse? The left looks for any opportunity to play the race card to shut down criticism of President Obama, by accusing his critics and detractors of hating on Obama for the mere fact of his skin color.

I know there are those who echo the KKK when they shout that they don't want a black president, but I for one do not care about his skin color. I oppose Mr. Obama on policy, period. The left is going to have to find better material, a different pack of cards; otherwise, they make their defeat certain.
