Stoddard County deputies arrest five on drug, other charges

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner issued a release Friday afternoon announcing the arrests of several people on drug and other charges.

As the result of an ongoing investigation into drug activity, the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department secured a search warrant for a residence in the southeast part of the county.

Edward Benjamin Hardin, 29 of Catron, Mo., is charged with felony attempt to manufacture a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony attempt to manufacture a controlled substance and felony child endangerment. He is being held in the Stoddard County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.

Amanda Crosno, 30 of Catron is charged with felony child endangerment, felony attempt to manufacture methamphetamines and felony possession of a controlled substance. She is being held in the Stoddard County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.

Hefner said three others were arrested on unrelated charges.

Thomas Wilson, 38 of Dexter, Mo., is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and felony possession of a controlled substance. Wilson is being held in the Stoddard County Jail on $50,000 cash-only bond. Rickie Knapp, 22 of Parma, Mo., was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, first-degree trespassing, felony endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree assault. Knapp is being held in the Stoddard County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

Sedrick Thomas, 22 of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was arrested and charged with felony aggravated stalking. Thomas made an appearance in court, then was placed on probation and released.
