U.S. 60 reduced for bridge replacement

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Construction is underway to replace two bridges on eastbound U.S. 60 in Stoddard County. Work to replace a third bridge near the Stoddard/New Madrid county line on westbound U.S. 60 will begin Aug. 22, weather permitting. As bridge replacement is underway, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Highway 51 to U.S. 61 as necessary. Additionally, a 16-foot width restriction will be in place. Completion is anticipated in mid-October. Signs and warning devices will be in place.
