PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mark Schaaf, 59, of Perryville, matched all five white-ball numbers in the Mega Millions drawing Aug. 5, claiming the second-level prize of $250,000, according to a Missouri Lottery news release.

"You just never know," said Schaaf. "You can't win if you don't play."

Schaaf bought the winning ticket at Jasper's Smoke Shop, 2018 Lake Drive, in Perryville. The store earned a bonus of $2,500 for selling the winning ticket. Twenty-two co-workers in Ohio split the winning jackpot from the same drawing worth $99 million. Mega Millions jackpots start at $12 million.
