Horrell collects sweet corn, gives it to Chaffee senior citizens

Sunday, August 7, 2011

Photographer Aaron Horrell spends most of his time outdoors. He hikes through forests to capture birds in the trees, crawls quietly on his belly to approach snakes and sneaks up to wildflowers to capture bees getting pollen -- all in the name of photography. Horrell recently abandoned his lense for a sack, went to a cornfield and collected 742 ears of sweetcorn. He gave the corn to the Chaffee Nutrition Center and Chaffee Nursing Home. "The ladies were surprised, happy and inundated with sweetcorn," Horrell said.
