The Fourth of July will be fun, but it will also disrupt public works service for some people in Cape Girardeau and Jackson.

Cape Girardeau residents who normally have trash or recycling picked up Monday will need to set out the refuse Tuesday. Those who normally have Tuesday pickup for trash or recycling will have a Wednesday pickup. The rest of the week is unaffected.

In Jackson, only residents with Monday trash pickup will be affected. They can set their trash out Tuesday.
