Local Military Men to benefit from Thrivent Financial Support Our Troops Event

Jackson, MO (Month Date, 2010) -- Members from the local chapters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are hosting a Support Our Troops Event to help local military men who are currently serving overseas. The activity will be held Saturday, July 16th, 2011 at Saxony Lutheran High School from 8:00 am to Noon.

The local Thrivent Financial offices and Lutheran congregations are currently collecting items to send to our military men who are currently serving overseas. You may drop them off at our Jackson, Frohna, or Perryville locations or at any of the participating Lutheran congregations (call for details). Anyone is invited to participate with the packing event on July 16th. If you are unable to participate; however, have friends or family serving our country please feel free to email erin.hente@thrivent.com or call 573-243-5300 with names and addresses of your military men.

Through Thrivent Financial chapter programs, members come together in service to help their communities and congregations. Members are able to use Thrivent Financial dollars to add to the funds they raise at an activity or to purchase materials for service projects, while energizing other members and volunteers to provide help that otherwise would not be available.

All Thrivent Financial members belong to a local chapter that provides a way for them to give back to their communities, congregations and causes they care about through charitable activities, as well as connect with one another for social and educational events.
