HICKMAN, Ky. (AP) - Floodwater has receded on the Mississippi River enough that the Dorena-Hickman Ferry is going back into service.
The ferry that crosses the river between Hickman, Ky., and Dorena, Mo., was closed on April 14 because of rising water.
The only direct connection between Kentucky and Missouri is the ferry. The toll for passenger vehicles is $14.
The ferry is scheduled to resume operations Tuesday morning. Operational status can be found at www.dorena-hickmanferryboat.com or by calling (731) 693-0210.
