Dress up in your Pirate gear come party and drink rum, have some fun! THIS will be the party of the summer!
The Dread Crew of Oddwood is a six member celtic pirate rock band from San Diego. Forming in fall of 2008, this adventurous and outrageously energetic group of brigands has already taken renaissance fair circuits, pub communities, private parties, conventions, and various music venues by storm throughout the entire nation. They have a slew of valiant, terrifying, and amusing songs, some of which have been featured on radio stations Rock 105.3 and Bilgemunky Pirate Radio. This swashbuckling crew has had their music featured in Volcom surf videos, performed and been interviewed on KUSI morning news, joined the select lineup of musicians included on the popular New Orleans music preservation CD series, Lafitte's Return, and performs at some of the largest fairs in America, including The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire, The Bristol Renaissance Faire, and the LA County Fair; all with attendances in the several thousands.
Featuring Captain Wolfbeard O'Brady on accordion and tin whistle, Quartermaster Nathaniel Grizzlejaw on anglo concertina, First Mate Riven Rahl on toy piano, Carpenter Ruba Jouba on mandolin and guitar, Navigator Smithy Crow on bass, cello, viola, and violin, and Gunmaster Castle on drums, percussion, and steel pans, Oddwood is steadfast gaining popularity in the pirate music genre with their epic seafaring sound and extensive vocal harmonization. Their debut album, Reign the Helm, features not only distinctive original work, but their critically-acclaimed covers from the spectrum of traditional Irish music to video game soundtracks as well.
Oddwood has been described by countless viewers as "amazing", "high-energy rogues", "an authentic pirate band", "thoroughly entertaining", "incredibly talented", and "musically brilliant, rum-soaked madmen". Rocktopus, their heroic new album, includes twelve brand new original tracks with timeless tales of betrayal, comrades lost, magnificent battles, dangerous journeys, and hilarious antics, as well as a full-length medley with their own unique twist on six different folk melodies. Best of all, it's now available to purchase!
If you're looking for an excellent mixture of grandiose performance and humor with a fiendishly piratical twist, The Dread Crew of Oddwood is at your service!

Now this will be a party to remember. You may never get to do this again in Cape. Come to Pitter's and party like a real Pirate!
Watch the videos to see more!
While on the surface this sounds like great fun after watching the videos I'm not so sure. All I see is a bunch of guys twirling around in circles while supposedly playing music. I say supposedly because all I could hear was the drums and an occasional note from an accordion.
Yes I wish the audio was better on the youtube videos. They are working on a pro vido now. They do have a full cd out with mp3s on line. Also these videos are outside preformances with no PA or mics. Pitter's is a inside show and with the mics and pa will sound much better. But over all, I think it'll the most fun thing to do in Cape on that Thursday night. Plus, with all Pirates, the more cheap Rum you drink, the better you'll like em!
Why does one have to drink America's most dangerous drug, alcohol to have fun? The following website was sent to me from a WCTU member. NO amount of alcohol is safe!

Alcohol is the leading cause of traffic deaths.

Well swift, because it's fun!!!!!
Pirates invade Pitter's TONIGHT!!!!!
To tell you the the truth swift. I don't fear death. Because death is coming one way or the other. What I fear is not living life to the fullest while I'm above ground. I've always tried to live my life the way I want, and to do the things that make me happy or laugh. By finding fun where I can, so that I don't end up a old man looking back at all the things I didn't do. You can spend your entire life worrying about that which might kill you, and never step outside your door or travel beyond that where you live or work. I think life's little trick is to keep us down, and make us unhappy. But we beat the game when we refuse to let it keep us down, and continue to laugh anyway. I've known people who never drank, smoke, had sex, or listen to rock n roll. And they still died anyway. No one knows the time or date that death will come to collect us, but we can control how we enjoy our lives until then.
Yo ho ho! it's a Pirates Life for me!
