Roger Dale Henderson, 63, of Scott City died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born April 15, 1948, in Anna, Ill., to Raymond and Jean Ivern Morris Henderson. He married Leann Marie Miller on April 27, 2002, in Makanda, Ill.
Henderson was a supervisor and domestic and off-shore travel consultant for Florsheim Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau and had worked as a supervisor for Newell Rubbermaid in Jackson.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Austin Carroll of Scott City; two daughters, Lachelle Carroll and Rhiannon Henderson of Scott City; and two brothers, Richard Henderson of Charlotte, N.C., and Bruce Henderson of Jonesboro, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
Burial will be at noon in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors.
