Castor River bridge in Stoddard Co. to close for improvements

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Work to replace the Route BB bridge over Castor River in Stoddard County is expected to begin May 31, weather permitting. Construction was originally scheduled to begin May 9 but was postponed because of flooding. The road will remain closed from Route K to Route M as construction is underway. Completion is anticipated in early August. Signs and warning devices will be in place. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the area.
