Jackson FFA Holds Annual Banquet

On May the 3rd, the Jackson FFA held its 71st annual FFA parent -- member banquet at the Jackson Knights of Columbus Hall. Over 350 members and guests were present to recognize students and honorary FFA degree recipients for their hard work and successes throughout the year. The Knights of Columbus catered the meal and LTC (R) Don Koonce served as a terrific guest speaker. The evening was highlighted by recognizing students for their accomplishments. The FFA was very successful taking over 40 members to Columbia for state career development events this year as well as winning various leadership competitions throughout the year. Gerry Shinn, Revis Reisenbichler, and Vince Powell were awarded the Honorary Chapter FFA Degree for their contributions to the chapter. The evening was drawn to a close after the installment of the 2011-2012 officer team.
