Making treats for nursing home employees

Members of the Outreach Team at Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville put together homemade cookie trays Wednesday to deliver to local nursing home employees Thursday. The group baked and assembled 96 dozen cookies to be delivered to Jackson Manor, Monticello, the Lutheran Home, Ratliff and the Missouri Veterans Home in honor of National Nursing Home Workers Week. It is the second year the group has made cookies for the nursing home workers. From left are Susan Nothdurft, Maxine Friedrich, Vallerie Abernathy, Sue Marshall and Shirlene Deneke.
