National Nursing Home Week

Celebrating Mardi Gras day!

What a busy week it has been at Woodland Hills. The residents, staff, friends and family all celebrated National Nursing Home Week May 8 -- 13. There were fun games and activities taking place every day of that week. On Sunday, everyone celebrated Mother's Day with some tea, coffee, punch and cookies. Monday was Hawaiian day with making your own "Fruit on a Stick" followed by Party Time with some hula dancing and hula hoop competitions. Country Farm day was a huge success. Most of the residents got the chance to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather while watching a horseshow. After all the excitement of the horses, everyone received a banana split. Wednesday was another party day with celebration of Mardi Gras. In the morning everyone dolled up with their beads, boas and feathered masks while eating jambalaya. Later that day we had Super Bingo and root-beer floats. Thursday was fish and curly fry day. As the week went on, there was more music, lots of food and tons of fun. Thank you too all that came to participate with us. We always enjoy company. Everybody is welcome to come anytime to have fun with us. There are fun activities happening each and every day!
