Neil Johnson struck out 13 and walked four while only allowing one hit in Woodland's 5-0 victory over Bell City in baseball action Monday.

David Gray went 2 for 3 with a double, while Dylan Miller went 2 for 4, including a two-run double for the Cardinals (2-0).

Andrew Dooley allowed two hits and struck out seven in the road win.

Cody Payne went 2 for 4, including a double, while Jared Walker and Alex Crowe both added two hits for the Red Devils (3-1).

Michael Kuydendall doubled, while Ian Householder took the loss despite 10 strikeouts for the Hawks.

Trey Gardner went 2 for 3, helping the Tigers improve to 2-1.

Darren VanGennip picked up the save on the mound and went 2 for 4 at the plate to help the Hornets post the win at home.

Ryan Moses earned the win by going 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts.

Grant Gray doubled for the Hornets (2-3).

Kendall Page and Jacob Spears both went 2 for 4 in the win.

Lucas Rohde took the loss on the mound, but went 3 for 4 with a double and a three-run home run at the plate for Oak Ridge (2-2).

The game was played in Advance because of wet field conditions.

Trent Steffens and Matt Stueve both went 2 for 4, while Clay Roth went 2 for 5 in the win.

Stueve struck out seven in a winning effort.

Courtney Heberlie and Holly Blandford both netted two goals for the Indians in the home win.

Kayla Seabaugh had a goal, while Emily Cissell added two assists.

Mallory Tucker and Storm French both had an assist for the Indians (3-0).

Freshman Katie Mattingly recorded seven saves in goal.

Notre Dame 4, Sikeston 0

Anna Wren scored twice to lead visiting Notre Dame to victory.

Brianne Sanders and Allyson Bradshaw added a goal apiece.

Madison Buelow and Veronica Moore split time in goal for the shutout.

Notre Dame (2-1) opened a 3-0 lead in the first half of a rematch of last year's Class 2 District 1 title game.

Woodland is starting off hot. Johnson is a beast. I think this year woodland has distirct title

Haha Bell City played aweful that game. Your gonna say Woodland has a distrcit title 2 weeks into the season... haha
