City noise demonstration today

Wednesday, March 9, 2011

The Cape Girardeau City Council will participate in a sound demonstration downtown today. The council, which is considering a new downtown noise ordinance, will meet at city hall, 401 Independence St., at 4:45 p.m. and leave on a bus for the Bel-Air Grill, 24. S. Spanish St. The council members will travel to various distances from that location to monitor sound, according to a notice sent out by the city. At 5 p.m., the council will travel to the Last Call, 632 Broadway. The council is expected to return to city hall by 6 p.m. The notice cautions that times are approximate.

city council should be in good "spirts" after visiting so many bars. i would suggest they get a DD, but i doubt they have to worry about getting a DWI in the city.
