ST. LOUIS -- Erik Johnson scored the go-ahead goal against St. Louis, which traded him three days earlier, and the Colorado Avalanche broke a 10-game winless streak with a 4-3 victory against the Blues on Tuesday night.
Johnson, who was traded from St. Louis to Colorado as part of a four-player trade Saturday, scored with 5 minutes, 6 seconds left to break a 2-2 tie.
Paul Stastny, Milan Hedjuk and David Jones also scored for Colorado.
Stastny scored with 2:38 left to push the lead to 4-2. Andy McDonald brought the Blues within 4-3 with his 14th goal 22 seconds later.
Colorado took a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the first 10:04 of the first period.
St. Louis tied the game 2-2 on a power-play goal by newly acquired winger Chris Stewart in the second period.
