American Red Cross Receives $5,000 from Isle of Capri, Inc.

Cape Girardeau MO -- The American Red Cross Southeast Missouri Chapter received a $5,000 donation from Isle of Capri, Inc. With this donation, Isle of Capri was recognized as a Hero for the American Red Cross, helping to ensure the Red Cross has the financial resources to help families and meet its commitments to the community.

"Because of the generosity and support of Isle of Capri and other donors, those in Southeast Missouri can get the short term relief they need in the aftermath of a disaster, such as a home fire" said Cheryl Klueppel, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Southeast MO Chapter.

Jill Haynes, Senior Director of Corporate Communications with the Isle of Capri states, "It is devastating when a family loses their home especially in the weeks leading up to the holiday season. The Southeast Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross mobilized quickly to assist the families impacted by an apartment fire in Caruthersville and we were proud to be able to offer the Red Cross the assistance they needed during this crisis.

Around the corner there is a place where people help others in need. That place is Southeast Missouri and those people are generous residents, businesses and the trained and compassionate volunteers of the American Red Cross. The Red Cross works every day to be prepared to respond to emergency needs whenever and wherever we are needed most.
