Redhawks' Gaddie receives MIC honor

Southeast Missouri State senior gymnast Brianna Gaddie has been named Midwest Independent Conference specialist of the week. It is the second time this season and fourth time in her career she has been honored with an MIC weekly award.

Gaddie recorded two individual titles Jan. 21 in the Redhawks' home opener against Western Michigan. She won vault with a season-high score of 9.850 and floor with a season-high 9.850.

Gaddie, who also placed third on beam, has the MIC's highest vault and floor scores this season.

Southeast (0-3) hosts Denver (3-4) at 7 p.m. today at Houck Field House.

Football signing party

The Southeast football program will unveil its 2011 recruiting class during a signing day party at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Port Cape. The signing day party is open to the public.
