Inez Uhls Fiehler

Inez Uhls Fiehler, 83, a longtime resident of Cape Girardeau, died of Alzheimer's disease Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, in Victoria, Texas.
She was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Blytheville, Ark., to the late Frank and Agnes Gaines Kesler, the first of seven children. She married the late William Joseph "Joe" Uhls on May 30, 1950, after graduating from Southeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Southeast Missouri State University).
She and Joe had three children who survive, Pam Herrman of Victoria, Mike Uhls of Cape Girardeau, Jim Uhls of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; a sister, Doris Wylie of Sikeston, Mo.; three brothers, L.F. "Sonny" Kesler and Donnie Kesler of Mississippi, Gary Kesler of Oran, Mo.; and six grandchildren, the loves of her life.
After Joe passed away, Inez married Harlan E. Fiehler on May 25, 1991. He also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; a sister, Mary Bohannon; and a brother, Leon Kesler.
Inez was employed many years at the circulation desk in Kent Library.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Long and Ron Herrman officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Donations in Inez's memory may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Southeast Missouri State University Baseball Team.
