The collapse of capitalism

Gary Rust included in a recent column a section titled "The collapse of socialism." An excerpt said, "The unavailability of additional sovereign credit, the persistent excessive spending and deficits, the accumulated sovereign debt and other indications of insolvency validate the conclusion that socialism has failed." This does not sound nearly as bad as our capitalist form of government with its $10 trillion national debt, $1.3 trillion budget deficit and $123.3 billion trade deficit.
