The Jensen plan

Somebody has to have a plan to start balancing the federal budget and paying back the debt. Maybe Mike Jensen can write about his plan.

Sour grapes

Mr. Journet has equated his beloved Democratic Party's losses during the midterm election with the destruction of democracy. Not only is this poor reasoning, it's also a mighty bad case of sour grapes.

I don't know who he is but it will take moe than one person to balance it... Afterall, it took more than one person to destroy it. Our economy has been declining for years, except for a few minor times when it got a boost... But this area never paid any notion of it till Obama was elected, then it's up to him to fix the problem by snapping his fingers and clicking his heels... Lol it doesn't work like that, it takes time and eventually it will get back together like it always has!

Off topic- has anyone looked at a new car by Chevrolet? They have all together removed a spare tire! Instead, they have opted for putting a tire inflator and a repair kit in the trunk! So if the tire "blows out" then what is someone supposed to do??? Lol guess when you are cutting costs you don't think about stuff like that? Yet you get a touch-screen navigation system! Lol with a thinking process like that, maybe it's time to go bankrupt! Lol

I buy German.

-- Posted by voyager on Fri, Nov 12, 2010, at 9:04 AM

I have a dodge, but it's old lol... Was $1000 three years ago and have put 30,000 miles on it since then. But how does Chevrolet expect us to bail them out when apparently they use no common sense when building a car! Lol if I buy a car and have a blowout or a unrepairable tire, I expect to have a temp tire in the trunk to put on the car to get where I need to go... I like my car, but if was to buy a new car, probably would buy Japanese or German made... Afterall, even ford uses cars from their foreign lines to build their American lineup!

Government Motors have removed spare tires from new cars ? at least you have GPS to show were you are stranded when you call for help .

-- Posted by ...Rick on Fri, Nov 12, 2010, at 10:42 AM

And onstar can call a tow truck I guess, although I'd rather be able to get out and just change the tire rather than having to call and wait for the army to come to me! Lol... Maybe I'm just out of date.... Lol

Passing a balanced budget amendment for the federal government is impossible. Just like the opposition to a flat tax, there are entirely too many vested interests depending on the Fed's largesse, overspending and "creative" bookkeeping.

Mike Jensen has been opining about downsizing government for years . . .unfortunately (regardless of who is in power) government seems to have one function . . . get bigger and more costly every year.

he has to ***** about something,he is always right about everything and everyone else is wrong that is a libs.mindset.

-- Posted by sammy on Fri, Nov 12, 2010, at 12:24 PM

Plenty of cars on the road today have no spare tires, either because of their size, the extra weight or the fact that there is sometimes no safe way to get underneath a reach a solid jack point. Heck many of the sportier cars cannot even be towed by a normal tow truck, but can only safely be transported via a flat bed.

All modern Corvettes, Cameros, Miatas, BMW M Series, Challengers, Audi's etc... have no spare tires. Some of those vehicles use expensive run flat tires, but for others you will just be stuck waiting around for help if a blowout occurs.

I have a Honda and it is has a spare, however I also have a cell phone because whether the spare is there or not haven't got a clue how to change one nor do I plan on learning that is what my husband is for. Even at that it is pretty stupid to not furnish a spare for cars. How much are they really saving with an inflator and repair kit?

Wheels

that's back when i had a half-a*s chance of fixing a problem with a car myself ...when i look under a hood today , i nod my head knowingly at the salesmen like i have a clue...

when my second tire went flat , i took it off and carried/rolled it up the hwy to the lights that were shining in the nite sky..it was a gas station , they fixed it , gave me a ride back and fixed my other flat...it was a hell of a coincidence the bill came out to all of the money i had !

Honey doos nope we have added on 1300 sq ft addittion to the house and he is the carpenter so he gave up any fun time when he accepted the job lol.

Like I told your sister I enjoy what I do. Long way from the business management degree I earned but gives me a lot more satisfaction. The only thing I want in return is seeing her happy.

Rick even worse is being like my daughter, her tire went flat so she had her boyfriend change it, she never had the spare fixed then ran over a wrench and got it stuck in her tire so another flat. The conversation that followed was not a nice one between her and her dad lol

Jensen has suggested plans. The Democrats don't like them because they will have to fire their cousins son.
