Sowers the best choice

After attending the first October debate, I'm convinced that Tommy Sowers is the best choice for Congressional District 8 voters on Nov. 2. His Green Beret service and experience, in my opinion, make his character, integrity, honesty and honor unquestionable. I've personally deployed on many nation building exercises and witnessed firsthand the security aspects a Special Forces team brings to military operations. The dedication and professionalism of that branch of Army service is truly legendary. He is walking in our district making eye to eye contact while listening to individuals' concerns. His enthusiastic determination that new local area jobs will help not only area working people, but also create revenue needed to shore up the deficit in our Social Security system. Term limits for political representatives and his sincere pledge to veterans' health care has earned him my vote. Although Tommy Sowers hasn't a political record to point to at this time, the incumbent, Emerson, after 14 years, hasn't much of a political record either. I'm not sure congresswoman Emerson even lives in our district. I'd ask every voter, and especially veterans, to read the biographies on the field of candidates. Tommy Sowers is more than a "been there, done that, got the T-shirt" soldier. He's a true American patriot. Voters must not miss an opportunity to send to Congress an individual of his caliber. I'm convinced Tommy Sowers is the fresh positive influence District 8 needs in congressional representation. Essayons Major Sowers U.S. Army (Ret).
