Tommy Sowers with supporters
Over 80 supporters, including Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, came out to celebrate the grand opening of the Tommy Sowers for Congress headquarters in Cape Girardeau on Sunday afternoon. These supporters, both young and old and representing three counties, joined Tommy Sowers for a ribbon cutting ceremony and a campaign update.

Kyle Juvers, who along with volunteers planned the event, commented: "It was incredibly exciting to see so many people come out in support of our campaign here in Cape Girardeau. Members of the community recognize the need to get involved this year, because they know we just can't afford another term of the failed policies Jo Ann Emerson has supported."

Community members are encouraged to stop by the Sowers for Congress Cape Girardeau office to learn more about Tommy Sowers and his plan to bring new blood to Washington and economic opportunity back to Southeast Missouri. The office is at 1105 Broadway Street in Cape Girardeau and is open Monday to Friday from 9AM -- 9PM, Saturdays from 10AM -- 8PM and Sundays from 1PM -- 9PM.

For more information, visit: www.sowersforcongress.com or call Kyle Juvers at: (573)200-6116.

Did Tommy talk about his support for the vast gay rights agenda at his office opening?

Tommy supports Gay Marriage, Gay Adoption and rights for transexuals.

He supports gay marriage?? Oh the horror.

Knowing that I'm going to completely ignore all of the other issues that actually matter and vote for Emerson. Thanks for pointing that out mofreedom.

These candidates that spring up and get so emotional over non-issues. Gay rights? With the economy going down the toilet, with global warming, with social security being broke, with health care...the list goes on. All this joker comes up with is gay rights. We have soldiers dying in Afghanistan. Guess what? According to Sowers, gay rights is his platform of choice. Mr. Sowers seems to have a knack for diminishing real issues that are facing this country. I say to Mr. Sowers, get off the high horse and take a position on real issues. Stop talking about "new blood" - that is useless rhetoric designed to lay the segway for a negative campaign since you apparently do not have a position on meaningful issues yourself.

I'm sorry, guess I forgot to mention that Tommy boy does support OBAMACARE.

What Tommy Sowers has not done is:

voted against veterans (unlike Jo Ann),

voted for bailouts (unlike Jo Ann),

hidden under a desk on the Democratic side of the aisle, then flip flop to increase our deficit by $400 Billion (unlike Jo Ann)

He thinks we'd best really figure out what to do in Afghanistan with insight rather than the advice of lobbyists, and use the funding to reduce taxes or the deficit.

He's such an amateur. Major in the Special Forces, couple of Bronze Stars and grew up in Missouri.

Yeah. Bring it.

Even the putative husband of Jo Ann says she's up only 2:1 and it's only August. 2:1? Heh.

See you in church.

Really. Y'all should have more respect for veterans, their families, and the voters.

Respectfully,

Mike Glodo

PPS: Referring to a decorated United States Army Major as anything "boy" continues the pattern of disrespect to our Armed Forces by the Emerson campaign and its paid-for trolls.

Glodo, you lie like Tommy. Jo Ann voted against Medicare Part D.

We'll see if the veterans in the 8th agree with your assesment.

Will enjoy thinking of you on election day.

northside8; I don't know where you get your info, but you just told A BIG LIE. Jo Ann Emerson voted for Medicare part D. She voted for this on 23 June 2003 under roll call 332. It's just another lie you folks tell hoping no one will look up the facts. TELL THE TRUTH. Look it up and admit you lied. Your campaigns are built on lies. There will be more said about this later. Can't wait to hear from you, sir.
