Thursday, August 19, 2010
Alyssa McBride, 6, right, helps Lizzy Turk, 7, finish her chalk drawing during the after-school program at the Cape Area Family Resource Center in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday. Around 20 children from kindergarten to sixth grade attend the program, which offers activities such as reading, art projects, and games from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. During Wednesday's chalk mural project, each child covered their own segment of the sidewalk with a drawing of their choice.
