Cape Girardeau County Commission approves road improvement contract

At Thursday's Cape Girardeau County Commission meeting commissioners approved a contract with Jokerst Inc., of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., for grading improvements on County Roads 365 and 343. The contract is worth $134,082.

Commissioners Paul Koeper and Jay Purcell both voted to approve the contract. Presiding commissioner Gerald Jones was not present at Thursday's meeting.

Looks like things go pretty smooth when Jones is absent. That should tell us something.

What did Gerald jones do retire already?And will he still get paidfor missing all of these meetings?Almost sounds like some of the city council members they are hardly show up for council meetings.

Jones was probally out striaghtening up some mess the yo yo jay made.

When Jay leaves is when we will see smooth. That's going to be too long for most of us. When the new commissioner gets in place I predict it won't be too long before Jay will be stirring on something.
