PROPERTY OWNERS ENDORSE PARKER FOR CONGRESS

As the Missouri 8th District Primary draws closer, 8th District Congressional Candidate Republican Bob Parker is drawing more and more grass roots support. This past weekend, one of the most influential and well respected groups in Missouri announced their endorsement of Bob Parker.

The Ozarks Property Rights Congress held their annual summer conference on Saturday, July 18th in Cabool, Missouri. In the afternoon session they had a "Meet the Candidates" session for all politicians running for Statewide, Federal or local seats. Immediately prior to the session, OPRC Chairman, Russell Wood said, "We have not previously endorsed candidates, but Parker has been, and is, an outstanding citizen, working to preserve property rights and freedom."

Parker noted, "I've been deeply involved in several property rights issues in Missouri from water issues to the National Animal Identification System. Through that involvement, I have learned how agencies work to implement programs that infringe upon our freedoms. It's been a very valuable experience."

The OPRC (Ozarks Property Rights Congress) is a group made up of some one thousand landowners who work to preserve private property rights in Missouri. There are several chapters to the group meeting throughout the Ozarks usually once per month.

Chairman Russell Wood said, "We're not making a judgment on promises of the future. We're basing our endorsement on production we have already seen. When a citizen will work as hard, giving his time and own resources to fight for the public good, as Bob does, just think what he could do in an official capacity."

Bob says, "I'm honored that the OPRC has declared its endorsement of me. It would be pretty hard to find a more dedicated and active group of people who fight effectively for freedom. Private property rights are at the very foundation of freedom. I am looking forward to fighting for landowners in Congress."
