Might be a good year for Peaches

Our little calico, waiting for the peaches to ripen. Or perhaps keeping and eye out for a juicy bird looking for lunch.

Looks like it's going to be a great year for Peaches!

A tree with some history;

In May of 2007 we lost our beloved white and ginger cat Peachy.

We planted a Peach tree in the front yard and buried her under there.

Then during the ice storm of 2008 a branch from large oak fell on the poor little tree and snapped it's fragile trunk, almost all the way back to the ground.

In the summer of that year a lost kitten showed up at our back door. It was very close to my daughter's birthday and that calico offered to solve my gift dilemma in exchange for some food and TLC.

It was a win, win! Peachy would approve.

And the tree is all the better for the tough love from the oak.

Natures perfect way.

Here's to you Peach.
