BENTON, Mo. -- A rural Benton man was arrested Thursday on charges of child sex crimes. Charles Justin Willcomm, 20, was charged with first-degree statutory rape of a person younger than 14, eight counts of first-degree statutory sodomy with a person younger than 14 and five counts of first-degree child molestation, according to a news release from Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter. He said Willcomm was arrested and freely discussed the incidents with detective Branden Caid. The department investigates five to 10 similar cases per month, Walter said. Willcomm remained in custody Friday in the Scott County Jail on a 100,000 cash-only bond.
