PULASKI, Ill. -- Lorene T. Heilig, 91, of Pulaski passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the home of a son and daughter-in-law in Villa Ridge, Ill.
She was born March 2, 1919, in Arlington, Ky., daughter of the late James and Allie West Tucker.
Lorene was a member of Pulaski Christian Church, the Ladies Aid, was a deaconess and a member of Home Bureau Extension.
She and Warren William "Bill" Heilig Jr. were married Sept. 24, 1939, at Charleston, Mo. He preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1981.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Tucker; and a sister, LaVerne Palmer.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James W. and Pam Heilig of Lone Oak, Ky., William E. and Debbie Heilig of Villa Ridge; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Beck Brown of Leander, Texas; six grandchildren, Chad Heilig, Jill Leigh, Brian Brown, Eric Brown, Jason Heilig and Melanie Richardson; 10 great-grandchildren, Brandy Propst, Christian Leigh, Keaton Leigh, Ashton Leigh, Savanna Brown, Gavyn Brown, Alli Patterson, Kelton Richardson, Brayden Harp Richardson and Kamden Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Pulaski Christian Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with Rob Arbeiter officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
