Regional Firefighter Training

Firefighters from Sikeston, Bloomfield, Scott County and elsewhere trained along side Cape Girardeau Fire Department (CGFD) personnel this afternoon on the corner of Frederick and William.

In this picture, CGFD Batallion Chief Brad Dillow directs a group exercising their structural collapse rescue skills.

The CGFD is continuously training for any possible rescue scenario. Remember, a firefighter not only fights fires but is also your first responder in any life threatening or otherwise dangerous incident.
