Two men arrested after high-speed chase that ends near Cape

A high-speed chase that started in southern Scott County and ended near Cape Girardeau resulted in an arrest of two men Tuesday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident began around 1 a.m. when Glenn A. Taylor, 29, of Alton, Ill., was speeding in a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck. Officers followed the vehicle until the pursuit ended at 1:38 a.m. around mile marker 93 south of Cape Girardeau. Taylor was arrested on suspicion of careless and imprudent driving, speeding and resisting arrest. Taylor's father, Glenn Taylor, 53, of West Memphis, Ark., was a passenger in the vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine.
