Jackson resident wins Outstanding Teen pageant

Laurie Clippard of Jackson was recently crowned the 2010 Ms. Sikeston Outstanding Teen. The contest included a personal interview, physical fitness, talent, evening gown and an on-stage question during the competition. Her platform is raising awareness for the Special Olympics and individuals with disabilities. Clippard is the 17-year-old daughter of Tim and Carla Clippard and is a junior at Jackson High School. Clippard will compete for Ms. Missouri's Outstanding Teen in Mexico in June.
