Job's Daughters Bethel 60 plans for anniversary

Job's Daughters Bethel 60 of Jackson, MO is under the leadership of Miss Michelle Maevers as the Honored Queen and have been busy this spring with many activities. There are currently 24 members of Bethel 60 and is one of the largest Bethels in the state of Missouri. The group traveled to St. Charles, MO for the state Mini Session in March, helped at a New McKendree UMM fish fry , delivered hand made greeting cards to residents of Jackson Manor in April and had their official visit from the Grand officers of MO. Mrs. Joelyne Nelson, Grand Guardian, Mr. Butch Carpenter, Associate Grand Guardian, and Miss Jennifer Hallahan, Grand Bethel Honored Queen were among some of the guests present at the meeting on April 9th. A trivia night was held at the Jackson Middle school on Friday April 30th as a fund raiser for the group. They will be headed to Jefferson City, MO in June for their annual Grand session which is the state meeting of Job's Daughters International.

The girls and adults are currently planning and preparing to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Bethel (1970-2010) with a reception set for Sat June 5th, 2010 from 3-6pm at the Jackson Masonic Temple. They would like to invite any former members and adults that have been a part of these past 40 years to join in the celebration. The installation of officers will be held at 1pm that same day and all are invited to come and bring back some memories of what installation is like and see the girls in their regalia. Anyone that Anyone who has been associated with Bethel 60 and has pictures, scrapbooks, or just wants to share any their memories of Bethel 60 is cordially invited to come.

Charms and tacks commemorating the 40th anniversary will be for sale and can be pre-ordered from Ruth Masterson at r_masterson@sbcglobal.net There will also be a plaque made for the 40th anniversary as a supporter of Bethel 60 and your name can be placed on it for a donation to the Bethel. All money from the charms and plaque will go to help the girls be able to attend state meetings, hold prospect parties to help obtain new members and for other supplies that are needed for the Bethel.
