WARRENSBURG, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities have released the name of a student who was badly injured when he fell through a screened window in a dorm room at the University of Central Missouri.
The university's student-run publication, Digitalburg.com, reported that 20-year-old Benson Chukwundi Owere was flown to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City early Thursday morning after the fall.
A hospital spokeswoman refused to provide any information.
The university says the first-year student was standing on a chair in another student's room when he fell through the screen of an open window at Fitzgerald Hall on the Warrensburg campus.
The Web site reported that Owere knocked out windows on the third and second floors on his way to the ground.
