Priscilla Howe is one of six featured performers at the third annual Cape Girardeau Storytelling Festival April 9 through 11. "All my stories start with a seed of truth," Howe said.
With more than 15 years of experience telling stories, Howe's tales vary from funny to scary and serious to goofy. When performing for children, Howe uses hand puppets to bring her stories to life.
"When I'm performing for older kids and adults, I may bring out stories for more refined sensibilities," she said.
She has performed in English, French and Bulgarian and has produced a number of CDs and DVDs of her work. Howe resides in Lawrence, Kan.
Tickets for the Storytelling Festival are available online at www.capestorytelling.com or by calling 800-777-0068.
