Cairo man graduates basic training

Lawrence E. Huff
Lawrence E. Huff of Cairo, Ill., recently graduated from basic military training at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Huff completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. He is the son of Lawrence Huff of Cairo and Deborah Huff of Cape Girardeau.

Imagine my delight when this young man called me and gave me your internet address. Was I surprised? Most definitely! Am I proud? There are no words to describe how proud I am of him! I am his mother. Thank you Southeast Missourian for letting all see one of my shining lights! He has always made me PROUD!
