Newspaper's education writer earns award

Southeast Missourian education writer Callie Clark Miller recently took first place in the Missouri State Teachers Association annual media awards competition. The general coverage award was for "Two First Days: Going Back to School," a story about the first day of school for a Jackson kindergartner and a Scott City freshman.
