Tipping a hat to PAWS

Sunday, March 21, 2010

Perry County Middle School student Kyle Brewer wanted to help support the Perry Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and asked his school counselor, Glenda Gremaud, if he could involve his school mates. The school used one of its Spirit Days for Red Ribbon Week to have a "hat day," to symbolize tipping your hat to being drug free. Anyone who wanted to wear a hat in the school had to pay $1, with the proceeds going towards PAWS. At the end of the day the Perry County Middle School had collected $123. The PAWS organization will use the money to help in its spaying and neutering program.
