Sunday, March 7, 2010
Colin McClain of Cape Girardeau will be on the question-and-answer show "Jeopardy!" on March 23. McClain, who graduated Central High School in 2003, auditioned after an online test last May and was chosen for the show in December. "He's very excited," said his mother, Judy. "We were just so impressed that he qualified for it." McClain is in his first year at American University in Washington, D.C., and a graduate of Carlton College in Northfield, Minn. In high school, McClain was active in a marching and concert band as a percussionist and was on the scholar bowl team, which went three times to the state championship. According to his mother, he is interested in international law when he finishes law school.
