HOWARD ASLINGER FOUNDATION

"It's not a handicap, it's an inconvenience!"

-- Howard

I hope you have seen the forms for the Howard Aslinger Foundation Endurance Run. This event is close to my heart and I hope you can make it out to the event. It is a 24-12-1 hour event, which is not the normal weekend race. As this is a timed event everyone will finish at the same time. Yes, 24 hours and 12 hours are a long time, so we have also included a 1 hour for the sane. But, don't let the times scare you. While some participants will be in motion the entire time, many will come out and run a certain distance and then stop. You may run a far or as little as you would like. So if you are planning on running on March 19th or 20th , why not do your run with us. Your entry will go to the foundation and provide scholarships for students with disabilities. Everyone will receive a certificate indicating the distance ran and plaques will be given to division winners. Also, we will have medallions for those that complete a marathon or greater distance and belt buckle for individuals completing 50+ miles. We will also have a meal after the race for all participants. This event is on the Eastern Missouri Ultra Series and will be timed by splitmaster timing. We also have 3 team divisions; Family, Friend and Corporate. Get a group together to run. There is no limit to the number of runners that can be on a team. We will add the distance ran by each runner for the team total. Team members do not have to run in the same time event. So the more on your team the more mileage your team can rack up. This run is about enjoying our sport and raising funds for a good cause.

So, I challenge you to register for the Howard Aslinger Foundation Endurance Run and join us for a good time. Run as much or as little as you would like. Get friends and family to join you. To learn more about the foundation or to read Howard's story go to howardaslingerfoundation.org
