High school roundup: Three wrestlers from Jackson and one from Central win first-round matches

Jordan Reisenbichler, Blake Hooe and Ryan Marble of Jackson each advanced through Thursday's first round of the Class 4 state wrestling meet at Columbia, Mo.

Reisenbichler (39-11) defeated Winnetonka's Joshua Coquyt (25-10) 13-4 in the 112-pound weight class and will face Blue Springs' Mauricio Garcia (39-7) today.

Hooe (24-6) defeated Joplin's Joshua Hutching (20-5) 12-3 at 145 pounds and will face Kaleb Friedley (34-1).

Marble (48-5) defeated Derek Dillaha (29-6) of Ft. Zumwalt South 4-2 at 171 pounds and will take on Joshua Phillips (14-1) of St. Joseph Central.

Kodi Byrd, Levi Hobeck, Mitchel Hazelwood and Levi Rayburn all won wrestleback matches for the Indians.

In Class 3 action, Central's Trey Grovenor (41-7) pinned Reece Berry (33-7) from Warrenton in 4:52. Grovenor will take on John Cervantes (28-18) from Oak Park next.

Raymond Woldtvedt and Kevin Flesher each won their wrestleback matches for the Tigers.

Trevor Foltz defeated Danny Hill 12-10 in his 171-pound wrestleback match for Class 2 Notre Dame.
