SEMO speaking event featuring Dysons rescheduled for March

An event in Southeast Missouri State University's speaker series has been rescheduled. The Rev. Marcia Dyson and Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will speak at 7 p.m. March 3 at the Show Me Center. The event was originally scheduled for Feb. 24. Michael Dyson, an author and scholar, was the keynote speaker there last year for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Dinner. He is a professor of sociology at Georgetown University. He and his wife, a theologian and social activist, will speak and field questions. Marcia Dyson has been active in politics and is the national spokeswoman for the Congressional Black Caucus' universal health care bill. Admission is free.
