The SEMO Pachyderm Club will be hosting a panel honoring local GOP Leaders on Feb. 18, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Dexter BBQ in Cape.

The panel will feature long-time, local party leaders discussing the Party's local past, present and future. Attendees confirmed include: David Limbaugh, Donna Lichtenegger, Weldon Macke, Tom Schulte, and David Schwab. Tentative guests include: JoAnn Emerson and Gary Rust.

The Pachyderm Club's motto is "Free Government Requires Active Citizens". This conservative club's purpose is to provide political education and engagement opportunities. Other upcoming programs include a Cape Mayoral Candidate Forum featuring Harry Rediger and Matt Hopkins on March 18, as well as many other candidate forums featuring contested races in the upcoming elections. The purpose of the candidate forums is to educate the voters on where the candidates stand on the issues while allowing the voters to interact, in person, and make an informed decision.

The club meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at Dexter BBQ, in Cape. Attendees are welcome to arrive at 6:00 PM to eat and visit.
