Paul William Kirchhoff, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 10, 1938, in Egypt Mills, son of the late William A. and Frieda Wilma Ehlers Kirchhoff. He and Sharon Kay Duncan were married Aug. 5, 1961, in Delta.
Kirchhoff was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, where he was an elder and Sunday school superintendent. He was a former member of the Cape Girardeau Jaycees and served on the board of directors. He was also a former member of the Nell Holcomb school board. Kirchhoff was a charter member of Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club, a former member of East County Fire Protection Board. He had been a truck driver for Inman Freight, B.W. Transport and Over-night Transportation. Kirchhoff retired from Hartline Hardware in 1999.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kay (Duncan) Kirchhoff; three sons, Dwayne K. Kirchhoff and wife Kathy, Patrick W. Kirchhoff and wife Lisa, both of Cape Girardeau, Thomas A. Kirchhoff and wife Terri of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Wanda Grueneberg of Florissant, Mo.; a stepsister, Betty Kielhofner of Oran, Mo.; a stepbrother, John D. Weimer of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren, Scott, Adam, Matt, Tori, Trenton, Kendra, Peyton and Seth.
He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Good Shepard Lutheran Chapel, with the Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Pallbearers will be Rod Grueneberg, Curt Grueneberg, Gilbert Connor, Martin Haupt Jr., Mike Duncan and Mark Duncan.
The family would like memorial contributions to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel Building Fund.
