Local plant donates water for Haiti relief efforts

Disease, illness and dehydration are the biggest threats in Haiti following the killer quake. Tim Hendershott, consultant with Schaefer water centers, says the family owned business shipped 24 pallets, with 54 bags on each, of purified water to Haiti from its plant in Perryville, Mo.. Hendershott said being a smaller business, empathy is still a driving factor.
Hendershott said the team effort of Schaefer water centers, Purelock water systems in St. Louis, and Music Mountain Water Co. in Alabama should contribute to the recovery in Haiti.
