Sowers campaign responds to NRCC allegations

Any statement by the NRCC that Tommy Sowers is out of compliance with the House personal financial disclosure reporting requirements is categorically false and defamatory. The procedures of the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct permit a federal candidate to seek an extension of time up to ninety days to prepare personal financial disclosure reports. Tommy Sowers made a timely request on October 7th, 2009 for an extension to prepare and file the personal disclosure report in order to ensure its accuracy. He intends to file the report shortly in full compliance with the law and well before the true deadline of January 6th, 2010.

Please see the letter from the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct granting the extension below:

Jonathan--Have you registered to vote in Missouri yet? Why can't Tommy speak for himself? Must be out raising money with his philosophical friends in San Francisco or New York.

You know what is categorically true? This guy supports government run health care! Tommy loves two things: Nancy Pelosi and President Obama.

Too bad your link doesn't works Feifs. You should probably call Barack Obama's Internet guys, the ones you all are paying to run your website and bundle contributions on your behalf, to help you figure it out.

Is Sowers even registered to vote in Missouri yet???

The only reason he moved to Rolla is to run for Congress. Wonder how long he will stay here after he loses?

a military veteran who served in two tours in iraq and is a green beret doesn't sound like nancy pelosi to me...

I'm not sure tommy's the right choice, but i'm also not so sure why jo ann's so great. regardless, you all are just shouting a bunch of nonsense.

I served over 25 years in the military. I'm a liberal who is disappointed that Sowers won't take positions on anything. Maybe I should run for Congress. At least I can tell you where I stand on issues.

Let me be clear here: Tommy Sowers is a good man. Emerson and the NRCC obviously want to paint him as all sorts of things because they know someone of the salt of the Earth who's a SEMO through and through is ALOT more in touch with what people are feeling in Cape County then a Washingtonite like Emerson.

The Congresswoman might be used to life in DC but Sowers seems to me to be the kind of representitive SEMO needs. I think everybody ranting about Obama and Pelosi should take a look at who represents them in THIS district and then they'll likely realize that Sowers is the right choice.
